L.F.O.D. RALLY STATEMENT

To Whom It Concerns,

My Wife & I spend hundreds of hours all year, thousands of our hard earned dollars, just to open our land to Liberty lovin folks & Organizations to simply just come & enjoy themselves at our all free annual event.

We get insulted, called names, accused of all types of horrible things, people attach racist stuff to our invites, all sling mud at each other, try to sabotage our generosity, leave rotten messages on our answering machine & WE'RE SICK OF IT!!

We're not perfect! For those who want to be positive, come have fun, enjoy a beautiful locat1on, meet nice folks, please do! All others just leave us alone!

Thank You!

Jean & Stacy Coutu, L.F.O.D. Celebration'08

Live Free or Die Rally - Update

We have many RSVP's from good folks nationwide. Its that handful that drive ya nuts every year before event, LFOD statement bulked out yesterday was intended for them.

We did 1000+ bulk invite reminder e-mailing off our mailing list last week. I screwed up & part went out not BCC'd. A twit in CO attached bunch of crap to it & re-emailed it. Luckily, most knew it wasn't from us.

Too bad about Poker Face mess. Stuff going back & forth with FSP. I made clear it wasn't just FSP. Everyone’s & organizations hands held over the fire. That seems to be finally calming down. Hopefully for the best.

If damn rain lets up will be best year yet.

Sent out call to arms for volunteers & minutemen for battle. Many responses. Abernaki tribe calls & sez: "Our ancestors were in Continental Army" I said, "Don't forget the Tee-Pee's". He Sez: Their Wig-Wams".

Also, Don't forget fabulous pig roast at battle 8/23 7-10 PM.

Hope to see you all!

And don't forget to check out the link to the Live Free Or Die Website below. Their information is pretty lean, but they do include a pointer to the 2007 New Hampshire Liberty Index. Plaistow's Representative to the NH Leglislature, Norman Major, gets a grade of 71.25. He's tied with Kenneth Weyler. Way to go, Norm! 71 isn't bad at all considering all the new Democrats are scoring 30 and under. Democrats don't quite understand we taxpayers want their hands out of our wallets for good. That's the only thing that will reign in our ever expanding government and keep us free.

Oh, and there's another section that's just priceless. It has Demographics for NH towns and cities. Now I did notice their disclaimer saying they try to make sure their figures are as exact as possible, but sometimes errors creep in.

It says that Atkinson is assessed as follows:

PROPERTY TAXES (NH Dept. of Revenue Adminstration)

2006 Total Tax Rate (per $1000 of value)------ $13.80
2006 Equalization Ratio-------------------------- 100
2006 Full Value Tax Rate (per $1000 of value)- $13.68

2006 Percent of Local Assessed Value by Property Type
Residential Land and Buildings----------------- 95.4%
Commercial Land and Buildings------------------- 4.1%
Public Utilities, Current Use, and Other-------- 0.5%

And it says Plaistow is as follows:

PROPERTY TAXES (NH Dept. of Revenue Adminstration)

2006 Total Tax Rate (per $1000 of value)------ $18.50
2006 Equalization Ratio------------------------- 94.4
2006 Full Value Tax Rate (per $1000 of value)- $17.42

2006 Percent of Local Assessed Value by Property Type
Residential Land and Buildings----------------- 73.6%
Commercial Land and Buildings------------------ 24.1%
Public Utilities, Current Use, and Other-------- 2.2%

At 24.1%, guess we know who really rates in Plaistow,
why is business interests, of course. And in Atkinson
it's only 4.1%. The Planning Board in Plaistow needs
to reverse direction and fast. We want to be more like
Atkinson, a place where people live. Not where
outsiders conduct business.
