: (SLPP), Kailahun district, Friday admitted that
: institutionalised corruption was rampant in the past
: SLPP government.

: Vandi Moijueh who is also a Councillor in the Kailahum
: District Council told journalists at the Kenema Police
: Station that the international community was not in
: support of the defeated SLPP because the latter was
: siphoning donor funds meant for poverty reduction.

: "I am calling on the All Peoples Congress (APC)
: government and the law enforcement agencies to
: investigate and bring to book all corrupt officials
: who contributed to the sufferings of the people of
: Sierra Leone," Moijueh said.

: On his own part, Councillor Moijueh said he is free of
: any corrupt dealings. "I am a strong SLPP Councillor
: and I was awarded the contract to rehabilitate the
: road leading to Kailahun district. I am corrupt-free
: because I implemented the contract given to me as
: required," he said.

: Moijueh expressed his readiness to face the
: Anti-Corruption Commission to prove his case and
: maintained that he will forever be an SLPP stalwart.

: "I will never leave the SLPP for any other political
: party," he said.
