The elections are over. The President has assumed office and the political structures and operatives are now in place. No amount of grievance procedures can reverse the outcome of the elections. However, the SLPP in Sierra Leone and the diaspora Should now constitute a solid conduit that will take the necessary steps to Formally communicate with the UN Security Council and to channel our grievance and concerns of the conduct of the elections. It is important that we officially draw the attention of UN Security Council to such international political machineries that undermine young and vulnerable democracies like ours in Sierra Leone. It is SLPP's responsibility to ensure that we formally document this ugly development with the UN Security Council and to enlighten prosterity to be cognisant of such 'International Conspiracies and Manipulations' that is taking roots in vulnerable democracies.

What happened in Sierra Leone was a recipe for an agenda of civil unrest that would have reversed our hard-earned peace and return Sierra Leone to another dark chapter to create jobs for crisis-seeking international experts. It is sad!

Let us formally complaint because such formal complaints will tell the world that amidst our vulnerabilty we are conscious of our inalienable franchise. Our complaints must be formally documented at that level so that the world knows we are serious about the disenfranchisement that took place in our country. We must act now.
