WAS IT RIGHT FOR SOME OF OUR PAST LEADERS TO BOYCOTT?

I am still in doubt as to why and by what authority the past executive of our party called for the boycott of the inauguration of the new president of our beloved country - SIERRA LEONE!!

Reasons raised contradict with previous procedures of matters containing similar traits as those spelt out in the press release by our failed-scribe.

Previously, we saw the courts and arbitration avenues for recourse to wrongs we presume or assume. On this great occassion of national interest, our scribes brought out their pens urging all not to attend. Why did we chose this moment not to be a matter for the courts or arbitrtion centres, a mark of continued principles of good citizenship!!

Now that the few that continue to speak for us have boycotted, will they rethink of going down the usual avenues?

Brothers and sister, if we are to make an impact and command respect from our people and the outside communities, we should learn to look beyond our gains.

Let us love our party but be seen to have the interests of the people and the country more in our hearts. Greed and selfishness caused our defeat!! Are we going to continue with such evils that strikes from the comman chain trickling down to we the lowlies?

Let us purge out this worm by cleansing our bodies, minds and spirits. Sierra Leone above all else!!

Sierra leone belongs to all of us and as citizens we should learn to respect one another. If you do not do the right thing and your brother is able to point out this misdemeanor - concede and prepare for an atonement. Five years we have to show honesty amongst our rank and file!! Five years we have to tell the world what went wrong within our campaign! Five years we have to convince our people that we are ready to give them back that which they believed we did not give them in our ten years of governance! Five years we have to educate our leaders on how to run an election; on how to mount an effective campaign; about complacency; about election fighting/campaign funds; most of all ALTRUISM - the greatest winner!!
