Still, you don’t have to examine your conscience in the full glare of the public or enemy gaze - and call it transparency – it could be treason (smile.) We wouldn’t like to have a fiery palaver or public debate between the former president and the former vice-president as to whose fault it was that the SLPP lost the last election. Suffice it to say that when Solomon says “I was speaking of betrayal by friends whom I had trusted implicitly and who turned out to be traitors”, human nature is curious as to exactly who these traitors could be – and that knowledge could do more harm than good, in some quarters.
The thread which I forwarded was continued, with some important additions.
With hard work, the SLPP will once again become a formidable party.
So Mr.Berewa the academic is now at Bradford to do some peace research and no doubt, some quiet reflection on the past that has passed.
