: Reliable reports, from Kono, state that the police shootings of Youths demonstrating against Koidu Holdings indiscriminate mining blastings, has resulted in at least three deaths.

: The People of Kono, supported our Party, S.L.P.P. during the last elections, even though, their son, was the Vice Presidential Candidate for A.P.C.

: I send my heartfelt condolences to the Families of the Dead, and wish them God's speed in all their undertakings.

: One thing is for sure, the blood of these innocent Youths will not rest until, this Madness in Kono, is addressed.

: The Youths of Kono, are tired of waiting on their Chiefs and Government, who are more concerned about their own selfish and greedy interest, with no consideration for the interest and needs of the People of Kono.

: This is an issue that the Party Secretariat in Freetown,must address, instead, of chasing personalities, and wasting valuable resources on unproductive positions.
