: I am finding it very difficult to comprehend the fact that the North America Branch seems to be behaving as if they own the SLPP. Thomas George, you are claiming that the New SLPP is still the SLPP. You and the North America Branch cannot take us for granted by thinking that some of us are not capable of thinking straight. If you really want to reform the party in a progressive manner, the best way to go about it is to liaise with other branches outside America and with the party office in Freetown. Taking matters into your own hands I would consider arrogant. There is no way we can win this election if we start fragmenting. We should learn from the APC years of squabbling which undisputedly left them in the political wilderness for sometime.
: We should try to avoid this happening to the SLPP. Some of us are in favour of reform but we would prefer to go through the head office so we can all work constructively for the purposes of achieving our main goal, which is winning the 2012 election. The new SLPP will not succeed without the old party members. Some of us will lobby a lot of people not to join the New SLPP. Our main SLPP is now regrouping in other areas particularly in the north and western area and there is no way they will join the New SLPP unless they work together with other branches and get their approval (highly unlikely), otherwise they would be on their own. I now urge the North America Branch to stop all this nonsense and begin to think straight.
