Tony Nicoli - ABETB breeder.

Breeding Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boa in captivity.

This out line here, is only that "The Basics" feel free to elaborate/experiment if you feel you can add to this.

A: Youll need a sexually mature pair or 1.1. Males tend to mature around 3-4 years of age , Females not maturing till around 5 years of age .

1# Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boas grow slower than most other tree boas and tend to reach a larger size perhaps have even longer life spans.

B: Once you have secured your ABETB pair and acclimated them which means the female should have enough fat reserves to withstand the cooling phase of several months and the several more months of being
gravid with little or no food, we can start.

C: Priming the snakes; females should never be placed in a rain chamber except for the purpose of exercise and the elimination of waste, but come December or so here in the United States females should be all clear intestinal wise. This promotes a higher viability and motility for male sperm.

D: Males can be placed in a rain chamber and further stimulated with cool water @ 70 degrees or so starting in December.
