A). Infertile matings can result from either an infertile male or female, lack
of copulation, lack of proper cycling of snakes for the breeding season,
and infected reproductive tracts.
1# Stillborn young can be due to infection or unsuitable gestation temps,
inactivity, again infertility, too small a cage.
B). Dystocias may result from obesity, infertility , improper temps ,
inactivity, too small a cage or any other enviromental stress.
Footnote; The snake in this photo although not an abroreal creature was
propagated in the same manner of reproduction used to breed other
"New World" snakes such as ABETB, this snake is the Largest Pit-viper
known to exist and perhaps the rarest venomous snake, this Pit-Viper is
ovoviviparous , and demonstrates parental care to some extent of her
eggs , males are known to guard her/their- eggs/nest. and are violently
aggresive during the breeding season, this snake is The Black Headed
Bushmaster and was reproduced at Zoobotanicals for the second time
ever in 2005 , some specimens were shipped to Zurich Switzerland to the
Forensic Engineer M.Kempter for further studies.
